Whether you live in Kelowna year round or are just visiting for the day, you will be sure to find some type of entertainment or recreational activity.

Outdoor activities are abundant throughout the year. Kelowna offers golfers a wide selection of world class golf courses for all skill levels, from nine-hole executive courses to 18-hole private country clubs. A fun frisbee golf course can also be found in the area. The H2O Adventure and Fitness Centre is a fun place for all ages with three water slides, wave pool, river run and diving boards, along with a flowrider that you absolutely must experience.

For winter sport enthusiasts there are a number of world renowned ski hills located just outside of Kelowna, Big White Ski Resort being the largest. Most ski hills in the area offer snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, ice skating, and have a variety of restaurants and shops for you when you need a break.

If you prefer indoor activities, there are several sports centers and fitness centers offering indoor soccer, tennis and basketball. Throughout the year, visitors and residents have fun at one of the area bowling lanes and mini-golf courses.

Kelowna also has an abundance of entertainment venues. The Rotary Centre for the Arts brings in national touring groups as well as providing home stage to local groups. The Kelowna Actors Studio offers a beautiful setting for enjoying dinner and watching comedies, plays and musicals. During the summer, there are a number of music festivals that attract many young people and boaters as they are usually nestled beside Okanagan Lake.

Other things to occupy your time include watching the local sports team, Kelowna Rockets, at a hockey game or taking a tour of the Tree Brewing Company. And don’t forget to visit one of our fine museums in the area, which will be fun for the entire family.
