The Board of Directors are volunteers from diverse professional backgrounds who are elected to either one- or two-year terms to manage the affairs of the Board in accordance with the By-laws.
This governance Board’s multiple skill sets ensure the Chamber’s long-term health and success, setting a tone for organizational effectiveness, innovation and vision.
Directors serving on the Executive Committee have often served as long as seven years in various board positions prior to receiving an honorary membership as a Past President.
The Directors have their pulses on regional and national trends and help us to support thriving local economic conditions, as well as assist in the advocacy and policy positions that the Chamber takes in support of our business members.
There are dates and waypoints that we must adhere to, under our By-laws – these dates are highlighted below.
As advised to all members in our legal January 3, 2019 notice, nominations will close at 4:00 p.m. on Monday February 4, 2019 in accordance with our By-laws. This is the closing date for all nominations for directors – both new and incumbents standing for re-election. We will then post all nominees on our website: names, photos, bios, and nominees' answers to three key questions. The nomination form is currently linked here: Application Form
Final candidate information will be displayed after the February 4 closing date to assist our members in making their voting choices.
