Kelowna: Tuesday April 21st marks the Mayor of Kelowna’s annual State of the City address hosted by the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort and will feature the Mayor’s presentation after a luncheon for members and non-members, followed by audience Q&A.
Mayor Dyas has been a prominent voice in the media throughout his term. His address will focus on the city’s priorities, and where the City of Kelowna stands in meeting its stated objectives on public safety, transportation, complex care, parks development, and housing initiatives, particularly in regard to working with the province on new regulations introduced during his tenure.
“The Mayor’s address is always an important event on our calendar,” says Derek Gratz, Chamber President. “We know we’ll hear valuable updates on municipal initiatives, and it’s an opportunity to review progress on the city’s priorities with the business community while giving our members and attendees a forum to inquire about issues that are of most interest to them.”
“I’m sure we’ll also hear an update on the Memorial Cup which is coming to Kelowna in just over a month – plus the numerous other events being hosted in Kelowna over the next 18 months - we’re looking forward to an information-packed address, and some good questions from our audience.”
Registration is now open at www.kelownachamber.org/events.
