Kelowna: The Kelowna Chamber is opening public ticket sales at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon for its popular golf tournament Wednesday May 22 at the Harvest Golf Club. This year marks the Chamber’s 39th annual golf event, and members and golfers keenly anticipate the event every spring. The tournament is presented by long-time supporter Parke Pacific Projects.
“We know we may sell out this week,” said CEO Dan Rogers, in making the announcement. “Our sponsors are primed with new perks for the nearly 150 golfers, and we’ll wrap up the networking sports event with a banquet that evening.”
“The UBCO Heat golf team will be onsite to help golfers with some of the long drives, we’ll have a charity 50/50 and more – lots more – to augment everyone’s efforts to meet some new business contacts, to have some fun, and to work on their game early in the season. Our volunteers and our staff can’t wait to get underway.”
There is $40,000 cash to be won at the course’s par three hole-in-ones ($10,000 per hole). In addition, $5,000 worth of prizes is on offer for all golfers playing the course on the day. The 50/50 charity is hosted by United Way B.C., with funds going to the RISE Memorial – Kelowna Remembers, in honour of the five victims who tragically lost their lives when a crane collapsed in downtown Kelowna in 2021.
Registration for the event opens today at 1:00 p.m. online.
