KELOWNA BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS DATE CHANGED 2021
Awards Wrap-Up Now Scheduled for end of March 2022 at Delta Grand Hotel

Kelowna: Based on last week’s decision by the province to keep event restrictions in place until mid February, the Kelowna Chamber has had to delay the wrap-up for the 2021 Business Excellence Awards until March 30th. Originally the Chamber had planned their awards wrap-up event for early December then shifted to early February anticipating a reduction in restrictions but unfortunately the restrictions that have been put in place since the Omicron variant appeared, prevents the event from going ahead on February 10th . It is now scheduled for Wednesday March 30th at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort.

Presented by Farris LLP and Interior Savings Credit Union, the 34th Annual Business Excellence Awards celebrates the amazing business and community leaders that not only survived 2021 but thrived. The theme is Rock’N Resilience, a nod to the challenges that have faced all businesses these past few years, and the work and dedication that the nominees have put into overcoming the odds and finding success in the face of adversity. With a final date now scheduled the Chamber is actively selling tickets to the Award wrap-up. They can be purchased online at www.kelownachamber.org.

“We certainly want to thank the patience of our corporate partners and sponsors, along with the finalists and members of the business community as we have adjusted our plans to meet changing restrictions being issued by the province,” says Jeffrey Robinson, President of the Chamber.

The event will look slightly different this year, as expected due to the current provincial health restrictions that are in place, capping the wrap-up seating at 50% capacity. To ensure the safety of all attendees, the Chamber will require that all attendees of the Business Excellence Awards are fully vaccinated as required by the PHO and will ensure that an enhanced safety plan is in place for the event.
