KELOWNA, May 18, 2017 - Kelowna is home to world-renowned, nationally recognized, and otherwise excellent businesses. With each year that passes, more and more developers, entrepreneurs, corporations and the commerce-savvy are recognizing the economic viability and feasibility of Kelowna as a place for business.
The Kelowna Chamber of Commerce and Platinum Sponsors Farris and Business Development Bank of Canada want the Okanagan Valley to know that after a review of their annual awards process, they've determined that this year's awards, the 30th Annual, needed to develop in order to reflect the varied business environment in the Valley.
This year's program has been enhanced with the addition of four new categories:
- Social Impact Award
- Excellence in Agriculture Award
- Marketing Campaign of the Year
- Arts & Entertainment Achievement Award
These four new awards will round out our six core categories for a total of 10 awards.
- Rising Star Business of the Year
- Small Business of the Year
- Mid-size Business of the Year
- Large Business of the Year
- Young Entrepreneur Award
- Business Leader Award
From now until June 8th we encourage the entire community to nominate a business from Peachland to Oyama, member or non-member.
Recipients of each award will be announced on October 12, 2017 at a dinner where finalists are invited to attend as our guests.
Nomination forms can be found on our homepage at www.Kelownachamber.org.
