The Kelowna Chamber helped raise more than $2,500 for good causes and delivered a golf-centric fun day at the 39th Annual Chamber Golf Classic on Wednesday May 22 with 152 golfers, 29 sponsors, and media sponsors, with a fun awards banquet at the Harvest Golf Club.

Maryse Harvey, President & Chair of the Chamber, welcomed golfers alongside tournament presenting sponsor Parke Pacific Projects. “Even though there were some raindrops around, we had a great day, a terrific opportunity for Chamber members to try out their swings and make business connections. We’re very appreciative to Parke Pacific and all our sponsors this year.”

Title sponsor Parke Pacific Projects fundraised for the Parkinson Society of B.C., in aid of Parkinson’s Disease Research. Also benefiting from golfers’ support were the Rise Memorial hosted by the Kelowna Kinsmen (50/50 draw) and UBC Okanagan Heat Golf Program.

“The Chamber does so much for its members and for the community. Their generous support of the UBCO Heat golf program helps us continue to be among the top programs in Canada. We’ve seen our ladies team medal at nationals the past two seasons and homegrown talent Justin Towill win back to back Canada West individual titles,” said Tom Huisman, Director of Athletics and Recreation, UBC Okanagan.
