Alexandra Little, owner of The Art of Fine Catering, started working in the hospitality industry at the age of 14. She has since become one of the top caterers in Kelowna. Alexandra’s catering focuses on fresh food and bold flavours. Her motto is “Food is life,” and the secret ingredient is love.
I started small and humble,” she explains. Alexandra began by helping those in her church and community. As her business started to grow and she catered larger events, she gained confidence and a reputation for quality food and excellent service. When it comes to her success Alexandra says, “We created our luck through a lot of backbreaking hard work.”
Alexandra’s advice for other entrepreneurs is to “work hard, give a good product, be sincere, be credible.” She explains the importance of being reliable, following through on commitments, and being willing to put in the time required to build a business. “An entrepreneur never works 9 to 5…we work an average of 15 hours a day. Our phone is 24 hours a day. It’s seven days a week. We never shut off,” she says.
