Last Call for Top 40 Nominees

Kelowna, February 24, 2016 – Let's face it, the Okanagan is full of amazing things and our young people are definitely among them. BDO Canada LLP, Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, the Junior Chamber International – Okanagan, and the Daily Courier joined forces to bring the ‘BDO Top Forty Under 40’ program for a second consecutive year. Each week for 40 weeks, an under 40 individual who has impacted the Okanagan in a variety of ways is recognized and featured in the local paper.  These forty features will culminate at a year-end event in the Summer of 2016, celebrating the success of these remarkable individuals under the age of 40.

Sean Glendinning puts it in perspective, "Being selected as one of the Top Forty winners among so many great and influential people in the Okanagan is such an honour.  While I don't volunteer for recognition, it is still nice to feel appreciated".

This year’s nominations are coming to a close and we are hoping to get a few more in for consideration. Do you know anyone who’s made a meaningful contribution to the Central Okanagan Business community? Is that person you? We will be accepting nominations until the end of day tomorrow, March 1st.

“BDO Canada LLP was extremely pleased to be able to join forces with the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, the Junior Chamber International – Okanagan, and the Daily Courier, to bring the ‘BDO Top 40 Under 40’ program to life in the fall of 2014.  The program lets us shine the light on our many young professionals here in the Central Okanagan that are making a positive difference in our community both in business, and in the non-profit sector.  BDO feels programs like these are important initiatives as it provides these vibrant young professionals with some recognition of their efforts to-date, and allows them an opportunity to connect and network with each other as well. We are thrilled to support this program and encourage the public to nominate an exceptional young professional before the March 1st nominations deadline,” remarked Mike Gilmore, BDO Office Managing Partner.
